Triggerpoint therapy

Trigger points are local muscle tightness locations, which can be extremely painful.

If trigger points are not treated, they tend to deteriorate.
This is due to the fact that the metabolism in the trigger point runs unabated but accumulates more and more metabolic products on account of the restricted supply and reduced removal.

These metabolic products contain many acids, which in turn cause pain and lead to even greater muscle tightness.

Trigger points can be treated as follows:

In manual therapy one tries to eliminate the trigger point by applying strong finger pressure to the trigger point thus suggesting a much greater tension than is actually present.
If you suddenly release the pressure, often a so-called "reset" takes place, i.e. the muscle tension is reduced.

The trigger points also react very well to CUpping, reflex zone therapies, acupuncture.

For very stubborn trigger points or severe pain, the trigger point can be injected with naturopathic agents. Here especially muscle relaxing and pain-relieving medications are selected.
