Dorn therapy
Dorn therapy is usually called "spine therapy according to Dorn," although one can use this method to treat in addition to spinal therapy also differences in leg length and joint blockages.
Dorn Therapy was developed by the Allgäu farmer and sawmill operator Dieter Dorn over 30 years ago. The method differs from chiropractic in that no jerking manipulations are applied so the Dorn method is classified as a gentle therapy.
The treatment is administered exclusively with the hands, and without auxiliary devices and always in motion. Should a non-
Dorn therapy can be administered for: osteoarthritis, disc problems, anxiety feelings in the chest, joint pain, gout, lumbago, sciatica, knee pain, headache, migraine, meniscus problems, back pain, shoulder pain or discomfort, tennis elbow, shoulder pain, spinal misalignments and other complaints.
It should not be used for bone fractures, bone tumours, metastases, very advanced osteoporosis, immediately after operations and cauda equina syndrome (severe damage to the lowest nerve roots of the spinal cord with massive deficits must be treated immediately as an emergency).
In the treatment of vertebra it can have an additional refectory effect on internal organs (stomach, liver, spleen, kidneys, etc.).
This is possible because at the side of the spine the so called spinal nerves emerge, which supply organ and tissue regions and thus can simultaneously have a positive influence in these areas.
Another explanation for the positive influence on diseases that have ostensibly unrelated to the spine or joints is the fact that Dorn therapy also automatically stimulates the acupoints or acupuncture meridians.
This means that, for example, stomach complaints, liver problems, kidney disorders and other symptoms may improve through spinal treatment.
